I agree and it's sad that they are wasting all those miles going to Disneyland and conspicuously consuming corporate branding. It's a culture of entitlement and I think it needs to stop. Haven't flown anywhere in 27 years now.
There is talk of some sort of mobility tax being imposed as a means to finance transportation infrastructure in these parts. Defraying some of the costs off the motoring public and on to the flying bus public seems like a fair idea to me.
