Talking Head Bullshit

Maybe you have heard some of the talking head bullshit about the depth of our most recent economic collapse. Maybe you have even noticed it is the same talking head bullshitters who did not see the noisy as a freight train economic collapse coming doing the fretting for us. I know for sure you have noticed the talking head bullshit motherfuckers have no answers, no answers they are willing to share with us anyhow.

Allow me to be your fretting talking head bullshit motherfucker for a minute. I think the depth of our present poor economic circumstance is due to the fact the economy has nowhere good to bounce back to. I reckon my province's forest industry's history and present situation mirrors the world's economy in some important ways, the most important of which is the number of plants shut and workers told to fuck off in the past few decades.

In the early '80s the economic depression was very deep as well. The forest industry was particularly hard hit, but when the economy bounced back most of the sawmills were still there to create capital and employ people.

Not like that any more is it? The old sawmills are gone forever. Same goes for too many of the rest of the work sites across the western world. They are gone to countries where workers are treated more like shit than workers here are.

And if I hear one more motherfucking politician start blabbering about job creation strategies I am going to vomit. We do not need politicians to get us out of the fucking mess we are in right now - we need a magician, or, failing that, we need us some truth.

You know what I like most about your post? You don't bitch about "losing." That means you know we've been robbed. We haven't lost anything, it's been and is being taken. It's the death by a thousand paper cuts from the fake paper money slipping through our fingers....

Were you wearing a PFinch mask on your head with FayeD hanging off your arm when you wrote that...

Or what?

You must be referring to the P. Finch who starred with Dunaway in Network. About one of our sadder modern oxymorons, tv journalism, I believe. Did not see it. I am not a big movie guy. Too fussy. Saw Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde and Barfly. Classy.
