I was fishing on the lake.
Other people were fishing on the lake too.
I hate that.
Why doesn't everybody just fuck off?
Two girls,
Ten or eleven,
Pictures of innocence they were,
Were speeding about in a pontoon boat.
They slowed down and approached three
Teenage boys fishing in an old wooden boat.
One of the girls asked the boys,
"You got any dope?"
One of the boys said, "Nope."
The girls sped off on their dope hunt.
They did not ask me,
Which is just as well,
All I had was some absinthe and pills.
