No Elvis, Beatles or the Sweet Summer Sun

Among my first records were a couple Rolling Stones double lp collections. If I had been born sooner I would like to think I would have had their first singles. Living in small town fucking Alberta in the mid-sixties may have fucked that up.

Loved the Stones. Loved them on my transistor radio. Loved their druggy swing.

Then along came punk rock. Stones turned into white sugar amid that rebel din. Only really liked "Black 'n' Blue" after that. Never saw any of their films or anything.

Fuckin' Stones.

To my surprise then I bought "Sweet Summer Sun" a week or two back. Triple lp and a dvd of the Hyde Park show.

It is brilliant. Great records, lovely looking film.

Glad my ears swung back their way.
