Do hope you caught the Breeder's Cup races from Santa Anita. Much as I prefer small town races in out of the way places like Princeton, Vernon and Osoyoos, British Columbia, there is much to be said for the high end of horse racing as well. It is all about winning whether you are racing for a couple grand or $5,000,000.
I bet just two races - the mile and a half grass race and the Classic. Hit the grass race - 12-1, motherfuckers. Almost fucking died when it became apparent Magician, his button pressed at the back of the widespread field, was going to run past the favourite in the home stretch. My choice in the Classic ran a close third.
Get yourself out to the races assholes. You cannot win if you are not in.
