Something I have never quite understood is why there are not more, far more, people whose lives have led them to be subterranean inhabitants of heavy metal Surrey basement suites who have not turned to the bomb as a means of political expression. What the fuck is it that keeps those of us who are getting nowhere fast from going all Guy Fawkes on the world? Motherfuckers probably think they are going to win the lottery or find a suitcase of drug money with nobody attending it.

My interest in why more people do not turn to anti-social political action was renewed after after considering what I saw of my own city during the provincial election. It is shocking just how many people are getting very little out of their participation in our economy and it must be a good deal worse in economies not buoyed by the grass industry the way my province is. We live in desperate times. I for one am not turning my back on them. Cannot possibly condone a bomber but I would not be surprised if there are lots of other short fused basement people out there ready to explode.
