Came over last night
To watch
The hockey game
The beer and the whisky
Went down pretty good
As we watched the black spot
On the big television screen
During lulls in the action
Of which there were plenty
We talked about our parents
They are getting old and crazy
During the intermission
Before overtime
We listened to Motorhead
And the Tom Robinson Band
Grey Cortina was just about over
When the ref dropped the puck
And the finger chewing motherfucker
Slid the black spot in the net
Sometimes things
They do not seem real
The Stanley Cup for Vancouver
Landing men on the moon
