Overheard two waitresses speaking to one another about one of their daughters in an old country cafe I had never visited before. The daughter was heading down to Paraguay - a country more closely related to Steepleton than you might think.
"She won't stay down there long, will she?" one asked the other.
"Oh, you never know," came the optimistic reply. "She might meet a nice man down there."
The nice man my mom waitress dreamed might propose to her daughter in Paraguay was wearing lederhosen and playing an accordion. That is how the much sought after men of Paraguay roll.
