Ohh-Ohh The Occupation

If The Clash were young, loud and snotty Dope City punks in 2011 instead of English punks born into the Spirit of '76 and their motor biking bass player wanted to write a song (motherfucking bass players always want to write a song!) Paul might have wrote a song that went something like this.

When they kick down your Occupation
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head?
Or on the trigger of your smart phone?

Ohh-Ohh the Occupation

When the bulls take your tent
How you gonna go?
On your feet or on your knees?
Or back to fucking skid row?

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Ohh-Ohh the Occupation

The money feels good
And life you like it well
But surely your time will come
As in Yaletown, as in Ground Zero

Ohh-Ohh the Occupation

If Frank is half as good as Fred Turner you have put me on to the trail of something good. I'll plug those you-tubers in on Friday night, influence my ears with a little absinthe, and let you know.
