Couple things:
About 30 months ago Sonja met a man who was constructing the 2010 luge track the Georgian fucker died on this morning. The man had built several luge runs in the past. He was a man who knows shit. He told Sonja, "God help anyone who goes down this track." Formula One cars can go faster than they do but they do not because there is no God watching over those who go faster than they ought to.
Bryan Adams ripped off Lou Reed's "Banging On My Drum" with his ode to the Olympic athletes number called "Bang the Drum a Little Louder." People have been shamelessly ripping Lou off for decades. Both songs are about masturbating. As they say in Olympicville, "A little higher, a little faster."
What was with the Satanic fiddler?
Anne Murray was fabulous, if not quite as fabulous as kd lang.

I have thought nothing but good wholesome thoughts about kd ever since she, like I, got out of Motherfucking, Alberta. And don't forget she owned a nice spread not far from where I am enjoying the Olympic Spectacle; may still own it for all I know.
