Most of the attention on Remembrance Day is rightly focused on the motherfuckers who got piled up in remarkably high mounds on the edges of battlefields for shipment home; those who were trampled unrecognizably into the bloody, infectious mud; those whose bones still decorate the ocean floor; and those who lived to wonder how they survived the violence of man's worst expression of himself.
Let's not forget they had lots of help at home.
